BSF, Police tribute to Malegarh on eve of I Day

Karimganj, Aug 14 : On the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrita Mohotsav, there is a festive atmosphere across the country. There is no lagging in the Barak Valley too. A lot of enthusiasm is being observed among the international border dwellers of the Karimganj district.

The BSF is promoting the campaign of Har Ghar Tiranga among border residents and took out many rallies.

Vinay Kumar Jha, Inspector General of Border Security Force, Cachar, Mizoram Frontier, on Sunday, paid rich tribute to the Indian sepoys who laid their life at the Malegarh tilla during sepoy mutiny 1857.

As part of the India at 75 campaigns, the BSF also took out a Tiranga Yatra in Karimganj. 7th Battalion of Border Security Force and Karimganj District Police jointly organized the Tricolor Yatra from Karimganj District DSA ground at 9.30 am and traversed through Karimganj city, Lakshibazar, Sutarkandi, Kurikhala, Latu, Mohisashan, Baropunji, Gandhai, Nilambazar
