Silchar, Nov 27 : The next cabinet meeting of the state government will be held at Silchar, for which the preparations have already been completed.
As per sources, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will reach Silchar on Monday night and will straightly move to Silchar circuit house for night stay.
The next day morning, he is expected to inaugurate the Ranghirkhal guard wall and then leave for the Cachar DC office for cabinet meeting.
Same day, after the meeting, the chief minister will hold a public meeting at Doloo playground where he will officially hand over the cheques of 1 lakh rupees to the affected tea laborers.
The state government earlier announced a compensation of Rs 1 lakh each for every family of the Doloo tea estate who was evicted due to the proposed Greenfield airport.
The chief minister is also expected to visit Komber tea garden and take a night halt there on Tuesday. Next day he will leave for Guwahati.
In the ensuing meeting, several key decisions related to Barak valley are expected to be taken.
