Silchar, Nov 7 : In a shocking incident, the body of a woman with her head smashed was recovered from Silchar’s Chandrapur area of Kathal road on Monday.
Locals alleged that the head of the deceased woman has either been chopped off or crushed by a loaded truck.
Locals informed the matter to Rangirkhari police who later recovered the body.
Speaking to the media, SI Rangirkhari police station, Subimal Nath said that the case has been handed over to the Silchar Traffic Branch.
Till filing of the report, the identity of the woman could not be known.
