Silchar, Nov 15 : In compliance with the directions of HHQ for conducting visits of NCC cadets in border areas, this Bn organised visit of NCC cadets to BOP Lathitilla today i.e on 14Nov’2022 from 141040hrs to 241210hrs.
During the visit, NCC cadets, total 47 in numbers (Boys/32, Girls/15), under the aegis of 04 Assam Bn NCC, Karimganj and from Swami Vivekananda College, Chandkhera, Patherkandi, Karimganj were briefed by Sh Neki Ram, AC, Coy Comdr about the role & task of BSF, duties being performed by BSF & recruitment process for joining BSF in various ranks.
They were also taken to border area for first hand experience of borders and duties performed by BSF personnel. Besides above, a platoon weapons exhibition was organised for them at BOP. The cadets were accompanied by Asst Professor Dr. Bijoy Prasad Lohar from College, 01 JCO & 01 NCO fm 04 Assam Bn NCC.
The visit was very well received by NCC Cadets, their College teachers and 04 Assam Bn NCC official and expressed for more such visits in border areas to promote the feeling of National integrity and inspire youths to join BSF.
