Silchar, Jan 18 : One youth died in a terrible road accident in Tolain village of Lakhipur on Wednesday.
It was reported that on Wednesday morning, a speeding motorcycle hit a tree on the roadside in Tolain village. The bike rider and pillion rider both fell from the bike and got severely injured. Among them, the rider was 21-year-old Riazul Ahmed, a resident of Silchar Gobindpur II Block, and the other youth has been identified as 24-year-old Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury of Karaikandi area of Lakhipur
Immediately after the incident, both were taken to Lakhipur Hospital. Among them, Riazul Ahmed was forwarded to Silchar Medical College after his condition turned out to be critical.
But despite efforts, he could not be saved as the doctors declared him brought dead. Mujibur is still undergoing treatment at Lakhipur Hospital.
